Company: Iittala Location: Finland Philosophy: For a long time, Iittala has been part of an ongoing revolution. This is based on the belief that all human beings can make conscious choices in everyday life. Choosing objects that will last in design and quality will please our senses and create harmony in our everyday lives. Fortunately, this is also a choice for a more sustainable society, and against buying short-lived things destined for the rubbish bin. *Iittala is a wonderful glass and dinnerware company that practically sells itself. Personally, I like to enjoy a glass of wine every now and then so I thought I would feature these elegant glasses as the rain moves in and we hunker down in our homes. Check them out! Set of 2 for $40

Company: PAD Outdoor Planters About: PAD Outdoor is a Los Angeles based furniture design company specializing in products for outdoor use. In the tradition of Southern Californian endeavors such as the Case Study program and Architectural Pottery, PAD explores the concomitant relationship between the artistry of form and the market rationality of production. Our aesthetics are unflinchingly contemporary. While our forms may have ancestors they are steadfastly of their generation and in the best sense of the word au courant. In addition to traditional design strategies such as form/function relationships, ergonomics, and materiality we engage humor and wit as propositions to infix our designs with something more than just formal characteristics. Yet, as formal compositions they can stand on their own. *Yet another fun and unique product that has come into the store! It's like Trisha has an eye for these things or something... The come in sooo many different colors, many different styles and you can get a stand for them too. We have these ones here in the store right now but check out our website to see more colors!

Company: Marimekko About Glassware Line: "Socks Rolled Down" It's got its socks rolled down. The charming glasses design by Anu Penttinen for Marimekko are the latest members of the In Good Company tableware family, and they have attitude. The relaxed, direct in character, indirect-looking shape of the glasses, combined with Marimekko's characteristic multicolor, take a stance against formalized thinking. Like a person with his or her socks rolled down, Penttinen's glasses are natural and liberated, self-assured individuals. *Marimekko does glassware, what?! I really need to keep up with this company more. Every time something new comes into the store I am surprised by what they have come up with. I love love love these retro style glasses, shown here in amber and grey. They are comfortable to hold. They would be great for a nice cocktail or a drink of water before bed. Did you know about Marimekko glasses?? Set of 2 for $58
